Fitwel is a new certification standard which is intended to enable positive impacts on building occupant health and productivity through improvements to workplace design and policies. In office environments, expected improvements in employee wellness may result in lower health care costs, lower rates of absenteeism, and increased revenue from enhanced employee performance. The Fitwel certification responds to the growing demand for recognition of healthier buildings and workplaces, serving as a market differentiator to retain and attract tenants and future employees. Fitwel was developed by the General Services Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and is being managed by the Center for Active Design. Fitwel has more than 600 projects in the pipeline since its launch less than a year ago. Learn more here.

In this member’s only webinar, hear from Fitwel leaders and developers and property managers who have implemented Fitwel about the certification system.
