Webinar: Building Equitable Cities

An increasingly common concern in cities across the U.S. is that the overall urban revival is leaving growing numbers of residents behind. At the same time, there is good evidence that more “equitable” cities are stronger economically: better places to business in part because they foster more widespread economic mobility. There is a business case then, as well as a social one, for real estate and land use leaders to help create a more inclusive urban prosperity.

This is the subject of a new ULI book: Building Equitable Cities: How to Drive Economic Mobility and Regional Growth. The book explores what’s working and how to do more of it in areas of wide interest among ULI’s membership: affordable and workforce housing, transit-oriented development, public-private redevelopment, community revitalization, among others.
